For every purchase from our Vander Avort collection, you benefit from a lifetime warranty against hidden defects and flaws.
All our jewelry is crafted using traditional methods with the utmost attention to quality. To prove our sincerity, we undertake to repair your jewelry in the event of a hidden fault or defect.
If repairs are necessary, we will have your jewelry examined to determine the cause of the defect. If it is our fault, the insurance against hidden defects and faults will apply and we will arrange for your jewelry to be repaired.
This warranty does not apply to jewelry that has been modified or altered in a workshop other than that of Vander Avort.
Certificate
When you purchase a piece of jewelry from Huis Vander Avort, you will receive an official certificate of authenticity.
What does our certificate guarantee?
- Material: Each piece of jewelry is made from 18-karat gold (yellow, white, or rose) or platinum, with the fineness marked on the piece (AU750 or PT950).
- Gemstones: Diamonds and gemstones are individually assessed for their quality and characteristics, such as color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.
- Craftsmanship: The certificate confirms that the jewelry has been designed and finished according to the highest standards of craftsmanship and sustainability.
Depending on the nature and value of the jewel, our certificate can be supplemented with an internationally recognized diamond or gemstone certificate (e.g., GIA or HRD—for diamonds weighing 0.30 ct or more). This ensures maximum transparency and reliability.
Authentic care
To preserve the integrity of your jewelry, we recommend that you have repairs and adjustments carried out exclusively by the Vander Avort workshop.
If a piece of jewelry is altered or repaired by another jeweler—including resizing—our warranty will be void.
If your jewelry requires repair or adjustment that is not due to a hidden defect (an impact, a scratch, a re-rhodium plating, etc.), it will be invoiced according to the quote prepared by our workshop.
To have your jewelry repaired, even years after purchase, simply contact us. Once we receive it, we will send you a proof of delivery. We will then examine your jewelry and provide you with a quote to determine the repair costs.
Once you have approved this quote, our workshop will repair your jewelry and you will receive an automatic message informing you that it is ready for collection.
Transparency and honesty
At Vander Avort, transparency and sincerity are fundamental values.
If your jewelry has suffered damage—for example, an accidental break—we recommend that you inform us in good faith. This will allow us to accurately assess the situation and offer you a customized solution to repair your jewelry.
By fully understanding what happened, we can not only repair the jewelry, but also advise you on the best course of action to prevent future inconveniences.
